Boston has a rich history that many may not know much about. Not to mention, there are plenty of hotels in Boston, allowing you a place to rest after a day of sight seeing.
Located on the River Witham, this market town used to be a lively port that specialised in trading wool back in the day. As the times changed they then moved on to trading grain, supplying one third of London’s grain supply directly from granaries situated along the river.
You can still see the historic buildings dotted about the town, with the medieval style St Botolph’s Church and the stunning market place, as well as Georgian style buildings. Not only can you visit these places, but you can also check out some of the other attractions nearby. Nearby is the ARK Wildlife Park, set within the Lincolnshire countryside and featuring a whole host of animals, such as a lynx, donkeys, and even a host of reptiles.
With a number of museums, ranging from cars to aviation, there is so much to see and do in Boston, as well as the surrounding area.
