If you’re having a weekend break in Lincoln, why not combine your visit to the Christmas Market with exploring some of these great nearby attractions? Lincoln Cathedral, The Collection Museum/Usher Art Gallery, The Museum of Lincolnshire Life and Medieval Bishops’ Palace are all less than a 10 minute walk from the Christmas market and are well-signposted.
If you want to check out Lincoln’s main shopping area, a short walk down quaint Steep Hill (lined with great shops and cafes) will bring you to the High Street and St Marks. Here you will find all the major High St names you would expect to be in any city. Furthermore, there are plenty of fantastic independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
For more Christmas present ideas, then what about visiting Helmswell Antiques Centre? A regular on such tv shows as the BBC’s Bargain Hunt, it has Europe’s largest collection of antiques and is only 15 miles from Lincoln city centre.
