View the historic city of Lincoln from a different perspective
If you’re feeling fit and want to explore Lincoln and the surrounding lovely countryside under your own steam, then Lincoln hirebike could well be the answer!
It’s a great scheme to encourage the use of bicycles in our towns and cities.
If you’d like to hire a bike in Lincoln, all you have to do is register online (it’s free) to become a member.
After that, you are asked to purchase a minimum of 5 hours riding at £1 an hour.
To register online, please click here.
Top tip:
We recommend that you take the dedicated cycle path that runs from Brayford Wharf (where you pick up your bike) alongside the Fosse Dyke Canal (the Roman waterway that links Lincoln to the River Trent and the North Sea).
It’s great fun to cycle along the towpath and enjoy the river traffic as it sails slowly by.
If you get a bit thirsty or peckish, do not fear, for the excellent Pyewipe Inn is en route.
