Located on the Lincolnshire coast, Skegness is one of England’s oldest and most popular seaside resorts.

With a fantastic sandy beach that has been awarded Blue Flag status (for cleanliness of its beach and purity of its sea-water), the fun and excitement of  the promenade and the beauty and tranquillity of the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, Skegness has something to suit all tastes.

Places to visit in Skegness:

Skegness Pleasure Beach

A great family-orientated theme park right on the Lincolnshire coast, the Skegness Pleasure Beach has something for everyone.

Stretching from the Clock Tower Esplanade to the Pier and running parallel to the beach, this amusement park features rides, refreshments, games and arcades.

Natureland Seal Sanctuary 

Not only does the Seal Sanctuary house adorable seals for you to visit, they also do amazing work caring and rehabilitating injured or lost seals.

Visitors can watch the seals being fed, visit the aquarium, walk around the tropical butterfly house and spend some time in pet’s corner, getting to know the rabbits, chickens and goats!

Open daily 11am – 6.30pm (last admission 5.30pm).

Skegness Pier

The perfect mix of family entertainment, with activities for older children and teenagers, as well as the little ones.

There are arcades and Captain Kids soft play for smaller children, while the older ones can enjoy bowling and laser quest!

Skegness Beach

Awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for cleanliness, this sandy beach is a great place to spend the day.

Activities include;

  • Swimming
  • Surfing

The beach is also dog-friendly from October to April, so you can bring the pooch for a bracing run on the beach!

Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve

This is an internationally recognised nature reserve covering three miles of coast from Skegness to The Wash.

Featuring an impressive variety of local wildlife, the reserve is home to;

  • Avocets
  • Skylarks
  • Sanderlings
  • Common seals
  • Snipes
  • And many more species!

The reserve is open all year and the Visitor Centre is open from 10am to 4pm.

There is also a varied menu in the café, so you can stop off for a bit of lunch too!

Bateman’s Brewery

One of Britain’s oldest family breweries, this is the perfect place to wet your whistle!

Located at nearby Wainfleet, the visitor centre is open from 11.30am – 4pm, Wednesday – Sunday.
