Affectionately known as ‘The Splash’ by locals, The Royal Oak Inn is one of the most popular bed and breakfasts in Louth.
The establishment got its name from an event dating back to the 17th century when King Charles II is said to have hidden in an oak tree for a day and a night in order to escape his enemies.
Nowadays, this B&B offers food and accommodation in a traditional, rustic setting, with the Lincolnshire Wolds on its doorstep.
There are seven bedrooms available, each with en-suite bathrooms and including a television, radio alarm, and tea and coffee facilities as standard. You can choose between Continental or English breakfasts during your stay and the restaurant and bar provides delicious home-made dishes cooked with local ingredients.
