"Watch a free airshow on the Cleethorpes seafront, with displays including the Red Arrows!"
Location: Cleethorpes Promenade
CONFIRMED: The Red Arrows have been confirmed for the Armed Forces Weekend to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF.
Gaze up to the sky at the Cleethorpes central promenade and seafront, as aircraft put on magnificent displays at the Cleethorpes Festival of Flight. Whether you are browsing the varied stalls or indulging in some quintessentially British fish and chips on the coast, fun for all the family can be had at what is the largest festival event in North East Lincolnshire.
The event, which runs on sponsorship and donations, is relatively new to Cleethorpes; however the aircraft that you can witness in flight is comparably old. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire and Hurricane fighter planes from World War Two make an appearance, which really is a special sight to see.
Of course, the festival would not be complete without the famous Red Arrows and their coloured jet streams. There is no way you can miss them! Their aerobatics have taken them around the world but they would never pass on the opportunity to display at Cleethorpes Festival of Flight.
Be amazed by The Red Devils, a parachute display team made up of serving paratroopers, as they dominate the sky with their parachutes with their nerves of steel. In fact, the display programme is so astonishing that you won’t want to take your eyes off the sky!
The Cleethorpes Festival of Flight has ample vantage points to catch a glimpse of the amazing aircraft, and there is also plenty of parking close to the event. The Cleethorpes Festival of Flight is sure not to disappoint!
