The 4th annual event to support St Barnabas has come around again. Held at the Lincolnshire Showground, the 5k colour run will take place on Saturday 12th May, 2018.
The 5k colour run is to support end-of-life host charity St Barnabas and raise awareness of the cause. Most of the competitors take part in memory of a loved one and celebrate the lives of those who they lost.
People who are raising funds will complete the charity run along a track that will be lined with paint stations. As the runners pass, the environmentally friendly powdered paint will be thrown over them. Each station has different colours along the way, so that by the end you will be covered head to toe in paint. Also, during the race, runners will even be given their own paint to use .
Participants must be at least 5 years old. If they are under the age of 16, they must be accompanied by an adult.
Details about this years 5k colour run will be released closer to the time, as well as how to apply.
Last year it cost £20 for adults, £10 for children and £50 for a family ticket. The registration fee also included a fundraising pack, neon sunglasses, a bottle of water, a poncho and a commemorative medal.
